The centre formerly known as
Kesklinna Kaubahall has been a familiar place to people living in Tartu
allready from the 1980s.
In 2001, the building’s facade facing Küüni street (leading to the Town Hall Square) was updated and the author of the much talked about colourful glass facade was arhitect Peeter Pere.
A new interior and exterior Kesklinna Keskus got in 2013.
Its two floors accommodate a MyFitness sports club that offers various group trainings and a well-equipped gym, Mini-Rimi delights those living or working in the city centre with fresh food and Biomarket provides the best selection of health and eco-labelled products. One of the best florists in town Mardi Lilled, the cosy Pagaripoisid cafe, beauty salon ILUtasku, restaurant Entri and many other stores located in Kesklinna Keskus are only a few steps from the main street of the city centre.
As the building is located next to the former Promenaadi street that used to be Tartu’s business centre, its interior design includes historic photos of old Tartu.
