The year of the 100th
anniversary of the Republic of Estonia has a significant meaning to Estiko for
many historic reasons – in March 2018 Eesti Energia and Estiko signed a
cooperation agreement that, as part of the agreement, foresees Eesti Energia
building Estiko’s first solar power plant on the roof of Tasku.
Neinar Seli explained that Estiko’s subsidiary Estiko Energia OÜ will build the first solar power plant – that will save 750 trees and prevent 150 tonnes of CO2 emission per year – on the top of Tasku. As the next step, another solar power plant has been planned to be built to provide renewable energy to the Tehase-Teguri production and warehouse complex.
