Tartu elected the best enterprises of the year. The title of the enterprise creating the most jobs was awarded to OÜ Lydia Hotell that provided 59 new positions in 2016

On Tuesday, Tartu City Government announced the winners of the “Enterprise of the Year 2016” contest. The title of the enterprise creating the most jobs was awarded to OÜ Lydia Hotell that provided 59 new positions in 2016.
The biggest export growth was achieved by AS Kodumaja. Its 2016 turnover was 65.6 million euros with export accounting for 99% and increase in export being 8.98 million euros. Kodumaja’s main area of activity is the design and construction of prefabricated wooden frame buildings.

AS Tartu Keskkatlamaja that has produced and sold thermal energy for over 30 years was awarded the title of the investor of the year. The majority (5.46 million euros) of its investments were aimed at constructing new heat and cooling pipes and reconstructing old ones.

The fastest growing small enterprise was OÜ KRC Ehitus that is involved in general contracting of construction works as well as designing and managing construction projects.
