To mark the conclusion of its Community Year, Estiko Group donated a total of € 15,422 to five Estonian charity organizations.
The donated funds were raised through various Community Year initiatives organized by Estiko Group. One of the highlights was a community festival last May in the inner courtyard of the Comb Factory, where Estiko employees ran a charity café.
In addition, employees from Estiko Group’s various units (Estiko-Plastar, Hotel Lydia, Hotel Dorpati, Tasku Centre, the South Estonia Innovation Centre, and Estiko Energia) contributed to the donation by choosing to direct the money allocated for their Christmas gifts to charity instead.
Kristo Seli, CEO of Estiko Group, noted that the Community Year achieved its core mission. "Our goal was to inspire our employees to volunteer and give back to the people around us. We also wanted to provide meaningful support to organizations whose work is truly invaluable," Seli said.
The donations were distributed to the cancer treatment foundation Kingitud Elu, the Tartu Animal Shelter for Homeless Animals, the charity foundation Minu Unistuste Päev, the NGO Vanem Õde, Vanem Vend and the Tartu Children’s Support Centre.
Margit Saar-Kraavi, CEO of the Kingitud Elu Foundation, emphasized the impact of this support: "We are sincerely grateful to Estiko Group. It is heartening to see businesses that care not only for their employees but also recognize the broader needs of society. Such support offers hope and ensures that those in need can access essential treatment."
The tradition of theme years at Estiko Group began in 2021, which was designated as the Year of Green Actions. This was followed by the Year of Knowledge, the Year of Health, the Year of Culture, and most recently, the Community Year.
In 2026, Estiko will celebrate the Year of Team Estiko, with the aim of promoting an active lifestyle among employees, supporting both mental and physical well-being, and strengthening team spirit.
