“Team Estiko is not just a sponsorship program — it’s a movement that brings together athletes, fans, and active people across Estonia,” said Kristo Seli, CEO of Estiko Group. “We want to help young people move closer to their dreams and ensure that sport is visible and valued at every level. The true value of sport lies not only in medals and records but in the shared effort that unites people. Through this scholarship, we aim to highlight those who move towards their goals with determination.”
The Team Estiko Scholarship is open to applications in four categories: elite athlete, young athlete, team, and coach. The program welcomes applications from top-level athletes taking their next steps as well as young talents just beginning their sports journey. Teams and coaches who nurture the next generation of athletes are also encouraged to apply.
According to Neinar Seli, Chairman of the Estiko Group Supervisory Board and former top-level athlete, Team Estiko represents a long-term commitment to Estonian sports: “Supporting sport is not a one-time initiative for us, but a deliberate, long-term choice. If we want Estonian sport to move forward, we must create an environment where young people can grow and top athletes can develop. Estiko’s contribution is our way of helping make that happen.”
Estiko has a long-standing tradition of supporting youth athletes and coaches through various initiatives, including the “Notice the Next Generation” project, the Neinar Seli Fund within the Tartu Cultural Endowment, and collaborations with Tartu University Academic Sports Club, Tartu Kalev, and MTÜ Märka Järgnevat Põlvkonda.
The faces of Team Estiko include several well-known Estonian athletes and sports ambassadors such as Kreete Verlin, Robin Valting, Karel Tilga, Rasmus Mägi, and Karmen Bruus.
